Mr. Tran Thanh Vu is currently a doctoral researcher at the School of Education, Durham University, UK - under the scholarship of the Economic and Social Research Council of the UK Government. He was the only Education doctoral student at Durham University to win this studentship in 2022. Prior to his doctoral studies, Tran Thanh Vu worked as a high school English teacher and university lecturer in Ho Chi Minh City. He founded and directs TERECONET, a learning and supportive community for early-career researchers in language education in Vietnam. Besides, he serves as a member of the Steering Committee of the Teacher Educator Interest Section of the TESOL International Association. As a researcher, he has published several papers and book chapters as well as presented at a number of international conferences. He also reviews proposals for various international journals and conferences in education, language education, philosophy, and educational psychology.
